June 13, 2019, the first ever “PEO Radiation Detection Evolution and Developments” event takes place. The following spectrometric detection techniques are discussed:
• Cadmium Zinc Telluride (CZT) detectors – high resolution at room temperature;
• Thallium activated Cesium Iodide (CsI (TI)) detectors;
• Internet of Things monitoring (IoT) D3S portable network or stand-alone RIID.
This day is also about drone technology and airborne radiation mapping, a technology to detect radiation and easily identify safety risks.Together with Kromek – pioneer in the development of radioisotope detectors at critical infrastructures – we demonstrate the latest developments in the field of radiation detection and identification with wireless communication.
