The GL OPTICAM 2.0 4K TEC is an Imaging Luminance Measuring Device designed to verify compliance and check performance of lighting components to support faster introduction of modern LED, OLED lighting devices. The optical performance of displays, backlit buttons and instrument clusters requires a dependable luminance testing solution.

Developers, designers and quality engineers need to verify luminance uniformity, contrasts, luminance distribution and light leakage. With this new optical instrument all touch screen control panels, backlit buttons, displays, keyboards and indicating lights can be easily and precisely verified during the R&D and production stage.

The GL OPTICAM 2.0 4K TEC is a high resolution, laboratory performance optical camera system featuring a high resolution 9M pixel CMOS image sensor with a dedicated V-Lambda correction filter precisely adjusting the system’s sensitivity (response) to human’s eye sensitivity. Selection of high class lenses is available for this optical system depending on a specific luminance measurement requirements. The system features a unique RFID lens recognition* system and a thermal stabilization of the image sensor, which compensates for measurement errors resulting from changing temperature conditions. *patent pending

Plug and Measure with RFID Automatic Lens Recognition*

Preconfigured and individually calibrated digital luminance camera system for immediate testing of light components and light device quality control. You can simply put this instrument in front of the lighting system and measure absolute luminance level immediately. The system automatically recognizes the lens and uploads the calibration file. Use this instrument in the laboratory, product testing and field measurements for lighting systems quality control. *patent pending

Thermal stabilisation

This instrument is equipped with a TEC unit for thermal stabilisation of the image sensor, which compensates for measurement errors resulting from changing temperature conditions.

Dedicated V- lambda filter

Each camera is equipped with the specially selected class A optical corrected filter to provide the highest quality of luminance measurements corresponding with the human eye sensitivity. Each filter is optimized for each CMOS sensor individually.

Adding spectrum and colour

This new image luminance camera can be combined with our spectral instruments like GL SPECTIS 1.0 touch to expand the quality control with the colorimetric values like CCT, CRI and many more. Additionally, it will also provide an automatic filter miss match correction procedure and support the measurements of multiple colour LED devices testing.
